              Blood Donation Camps in Virar

Thank you Virarkars for donating blood and saving lives.

During the Second Wave of Covid in year 2021, we saw many deaths across India. In first wave huge population was ill due to Coronavirus infection. But Alpha variant of Second wave was more dangerous as it killed many people. Many patients were hospitalized and they needed life support to stay alive. Oxygen shortage become rampant at that time. Oxygen Cylinders, Remidesivir and even Beds in hospital were black marketed by many crooks who minted money during this bad times. Many Politicians threw mud of each other for bad healthcare system and inability to handle Covid situation effectively. Cases were rising exponentially and blood shortage increased too. Many Corporates, Colleges, and other institutes carried out blood donation camps across India to save as many as patients possible. Maharashtra Class Owner's Association was one of them. Many Coaching Classes which are part of MCOA opened doors of their classes for Blood Donors by organizing camps.
In Virar, Mr and Mrs Gholap, owners of Yash Coaching classes took this responsibility. They approached Deepak Doddamani Founder, Ratneya Group & Managing Trustee of Ashwamedh Foundation for spreading awareness of this blood camp. Deepak Doddamani appealed people of Virar online using Facebook Page, Instagram and Youtube channel of Ashwamedh Foundation. More than 60 people participated in the blood donation camp which took place on 15th May 2021, in the community hall of Vishnu Park CHS. Vice President of Viva College, Ms Deepa also participated in this camp and encouraged the Donors. We are thankful to Gholap family who organized this camp in association with Sarla Blood Bank and residents of Vishnu Park CHS.

Thank you all the Virarkars who participated in this blood donation camp and donated their blood to save lives of Covid Patients.
